Peace and quiet is the perfect Mothers Day gift for Moms like KB!

All I want is time to sleep, curl up with a good book or magazine, and time to relax in my lounge chair without someone calling out “Mom!” I love being a Mom and have a wonderful mother myself. But the day in and day out “job” of mom can wear a woman down. As a mother of two wonderful teen daughters I admit to participating in a fair share of drama around my house. When I get completely overwhelmed we call it “Mama Drama”. Well, I need time to escape from it. I would like time for some self reflection. In a few short hours, I could find some inner peace if I wasn’t interrupted by the dog, or the kids, or the phone.
I think a lot of other Moms would agree. I participated in a poll about a Mother's Day Dream Day on this micro site. Last I checked, Spa day was winning! I think Spa day was popular because Moms want to relax and be pampered. Since you cannot actually buy a little bit of Peace, or purchase some Quiet, you might consider getting Mom a gift that will enable her to enjoy some down time this year. I have a very supportive husband. He takes the kids out to the movies, or down to the waterfront, in order to give me some time. I really appreciate it when he does this. This is a generous gift from someone who truly cares. Of course my family knows that I love books, scented pillow, robes, slippers, herbal teas and other gifts designed to pamper and nourish the inner me. It's great to have the Mother's Day Cards nearby while I relax and think about how great it is to be a Mom, especially a rejuvenated Mom!
