How often have we gone in to a shop, bought something from the cashier, paid and then left the shop and the only words we said to them were a quick thanks ? We are all humans and I think we all have done this. But a would like to challenge you to try something a bit different -
The next time you are out and about and in a shop or restaurant, just spend a few minutes and say to the waiter or waitress "Thank you very much, tell them how well they served you, and how they helped you enjoy your meal with the way the served you" As you say those words to them you will notice how their body language will change they will be made to feel important and valued.
Right the above was quite easy and once you have done it a few times it will be easier and you will find yourself just doing it naturally where ever you are. Now I want to up the game a bit. When you see someone who is cleaning a shop, public toilets, offices, stop and have a chat with them and tell them what a difference they make to the place they clean and what a pleasure it is to go there.
By doing this you will make these people valued, and will put a smile on their faces. Also encourage your family and friends to do the same and over times think of the difference you will make to your town and city.

Great post! I try to do this ... I often challenge myself to say something nice to everyone I meet in a day.
