An Angel Was Watching Over Us

Sometimes things work out in ways we never expect.

Last spring my daughter needed us to be in Chicago for a very serious surgery. While we were there a (Danna Crawford - PowersellingMom.com) invited us to a memorial service for her Grandma.

As a side note we met "Grandma" several times when we visited and stayed at Danna's house while we were visiting Ocala, Florida.  She was a lovely lady (in the truest sense of the word) and loved Gene, even proposed to him while they were joking around one day.

I feel we were privileged to share a few hours with a wonderful person.
So back to Illinois - We had driven our RV to a campground in Joliet and the service was about 30 minutes away.  As we were driving to the small farming community I notice yard sale signs. Wow there was another one - Hey look there is the same sign on each corner.  Turns out it was the day for the community yard sales.

We went to the lovely service and after we left decided to stop at several of the sales.  Even though we have been selling on eBay for many years, I don't have alot of experience in yard sale buying for reselling.

That day we found what we though were many great deals and unique things.

We listed them almost right away and as of today of the 30 items we bought 25 are sold at a 3 -5x what we paid profit.
Both us truly believe Grandma was helping us, directing us and giving us the tap on the shoulder to say - "way to go"!

Even though the service was a celebration of her life (and her 'famous' cookies) it was still sad to know she was gone. And what could have been a reflective, sad day turned out to be joyful and a true celebration.

Thank you Grandma!! ((( )))
